An infrared thermometer is a non-contact temperature measurement device. Infrared Thermometers detect the infrared energy emitted by all materials -- at temperatures above absolute zero, (0°Kelvin)-- and converts the energy factor into a temperature reading.
Infrared thermometers only measure surface temperature, to measure core temperature a probe thermometer is required.

Gun Style Infra-red thermometer with a wide temp range. Measures temperatures: -40 up to +500C. Great for food use. FAST response at 0.5 second. Point, pull the trigger and the temperature is displayed - it's that quick! The built-in laser pointer increases target accuracy while the backlight LCD and versatile push-buttons combine for convenient and ergonomic operation. Pocket-sized and easy to use — just point, shoot and read the display!

The RT-300 Dual Thermometer is very handy because it offers two functions in one: Infra-red measurement as well as a very accurate fold-out probe. Designed for food inspection, it has Food Zone indication: a green light will show if the food measured is less than 4°C or above 60°C. At other temperatures a red light will show.
Measuring the core temperature or the surface temperature of food. For measuring the surface temperature (e.g. food packaging) you are using the infrared sensor and with the immersion probe you are able to measure the core temperature.

This is capable of non-contact IR (InfraRed) temperature measurements with the touch of a button. Pocket-sized and easy to use - just point, shoot and read the temperature on the LCD display. When you need a fast, easy and safe way to measure surface temperature, the Mini IR is for you.
- Pocket size and ergonomic design
- Provide Lock Mode for temperature continuous monitoring
